Zygo Z2 Underwater Headphones are designed for swimmers who want to stream audio while fully submerged. Using a transmission method that works underwater, unlike Bluetooth, Zygo Z2 lets you listen to music, podcasts, and coaching audio during lap swimming without signal dropouts.

Zygo Z2 Headphones stream audio underwater using a patented radio frequency technology specifically designed to travel through water. Unlike Bluetooth, which stops working when submerged, Zygo transmits audio on a frequency that maintains a stable connection even when your head is fully underwater.

Bluetooth operates at very high frequencies that cannot penetrate water. As soon as a swimmer submerges their head, the signal drops. Zygo Z2 uses a different frequency range that is capable of traveling through water, allowing for uninterrupted streaming while swimming.

Streaming audio underwater requires much larger antennas than standard Bluetooth earbuds. The Zygo Z2 headset contains a coiled antenna inside the band, while the transmitter includes an additional antenna to maintain range and signal strength underwater, something small earbuds cannot support.

Most swim headphones either rely on MP3 files instead of live streaming, restrict head submersion, or use unapproved radio frequencies. Zygo Z2 is designed to stream live audio underwater using an FCC-approved frequency while allowing swimmers to fully submerge without signal loss.

Zygo Z2 uses bone conduction technology to transmit sound vibrations through the bones of the face directly to the inner ear. This keeps ears open, improves comfort, and provides more consistent audio during swimming compared to in-ear earbuds.
